csf v3.35 Server filesystem errors + an rdate error during update

CENTOS Enterprise 5 i686 on virtuozzo - WHM X v3.1.0
VPS

I have some questions. I was running EDGE previously and the following points were the same.

csf v3.35 Server Check reports following two items:

/tmp should be mounted as a separate filesystem. Consider using /scripts/securetmp (I tried securetmp script, no change)
/var/tmp should either be symlinked to /tmp or mounted as a filesystem

mount output is as follows:

/dev/vzfs on / type reiserfs (rw,usrquota,grpquota)
proc on /proc type proc (rw)
sysfs on /sys type sysfs (rw)
none on /dev type tmpfs (rw)
none on /dev/pts type devpts (rw)

Is this because I am on a VPS? Is there a way to turn those reds to green? Be gentle please I am not a Linux person, though a pointer to a resource to read will be fine.

During updates I get following message

Setting Clock...rdate: rdate: could not set system time: Operation not permitted
...Done

Is this because I am on a VPS? Is it important?

Why I receive the following message? How can I (should I) correct this?

"Cannot use SMTP_BLOCK on a Virtuozzo VPS as the MONOLITHIC kernel does not support ipt_owner"
