    Default Custom awstats.conf

    How to keep changes in 3rd party software configuration files, like for example in /usr/local/cpanel/etc/awstats.conf ?

    I want to keep changed option :

    DNSLookup=0

    to

    DNSLookup=1

    because I want to see hostnames in statistics.
    But everytime WHM/Cpanel is updated it also rsync all these directories and files. So I have to manually change them again.

    Anybody was playing with this?
    Is there some way how to deny rsync on some files ?
    Did somebody used some kind of watchdog with some text replacement tool to make these changes again after files are updated?

    Thanks
