Daily backup now doing 7 seperate days???

This is somethign weird ive noticed on a couple of our servers...

instead of overwriting the daily backup each night a seperate backup for that day is being created, ie Sunday, monday, tuesday etc etc

, how can i stop this and get it back to just the 3 backup folders of daily, weekly, monthly

Erm, that's the additional backup rotation script I added for you as part of our service package work

If you want to stop it, remove /etc/cron.daily/backuprotate.pl and then remove the additional directories.

i should have realised.

Thanks for pointing that out...

i may have to turn it off as the drive runs out of space doing a daily each day like that and a normal daily weekly monthly

Is there a way to keep the daily backups running but stop the normal daily and weekly cpanel backups???? because they become obsolete with the 7 day backup setup dont they?

It's not something that I've built into the script. You can certainly disable the weekly backups if you wish in WHM > Backup Configuration.
