Is there a way I could have cronjob automatically run virus scan daily?

If running clamav, then
man clamscan would list all scanning options available. Then you could perhaps do what you want to thru cron editing roots crontab if that serves the purpose.

what info would I put in for cron?
What are you trying to acheive?
I wouldn't do it if server load was my prime concern.
I just use it for email scanning realtime.... that's it.

If I use the command: clamscan -r /home, does it quarantine infected files automatically too?
As Anup said, this is pretty much a pointless excercise. There are practically no viruses for Linux and if you want to block all those windows ones, it's simpler to just virus scan incoming emails.
