Debian w/ cpanel

I have seen some threads that people have got cpanel running on debian.
I would like to know some more info on this as I am in the process of doing the same.
How you did it?
What problems you ran into?

I just tried a testing version of cPanel on my Debian box, and nothing is working now it always returns <service> has failed, please contact the sysadmin.
I am thinking to pay for reimaging my server now (
