Default Home Dir - PROBLEM

Hi ya,

I just had a nightmare of a day!
My setup is this...
P3 933, 512mb ram, 2 x 40gb IDE HD's.

My problem is this...

In WHM's setup, I have /home setup as the default location for user files but because I have a 2nd HD on the server (mounted as /home2) accounts are being spread over the two HD's.
Where's the problem I hear you ask?
Imagine this... 2nd HD is backup HD. It is also now hosting user files on it. What happens when that HD dies? Backups are gone AND those users are gone!

This happened to me, and I am VERY annoyed.

PLEASE make it an OPTION to spread the user files over other HDs and not force us to do it.

I believe Cpanel recognizes any drive with /home(anything) as fair game. We had this issue on an old machine. Since then, we just name our second drives /backup and that puts a stop to it.
How many accounts do you have on /home2? If it's a few, why not move them, wipe it and name it /backup?
