Deleted /mail/inbox , Can it be salvaged ?

Hello,

One of my Reseller deleted the /home/usrname/mail/inbox file, now the concerned user of that mail box has 0 mails in his account. Could some one here tell me how do we salvage the inbox [if possible ]. Although there is a copy of of inbox under /mail/user/inbox, can this be used in some manner ?

Any help would be appreciated.
