Directory Selection Dialog not appearing

For some reason I can't work out, when someone in a brand new account on my server clicks on the "File Manager" link in cPanel home screen, they are no longer being shown the Dialog to select the start directory and to display or hide hidden files.

Note the detail about brand new accounts: Clicking "Reset Interface Settings" doesn't solve the problem and isn't the cause of it. The only work around at the moment is to add &showhidden=1&saveoption=1 to the end of the File Manager URL once it's open, but that's hardly standard.

Is there some setting in WHM, or in the package manager, that I may have missed?

What cPanel Tier? What cPanel theme? Have you tried another browser to rule that out?

There is no other setting to enable/disable this.

Sorry - I missed the fact you'd replied to this.

Tier - release (so currently 11.30.3.5)
Theme - x3
The same problem exists in both Opera 11.5 and IE9.

Did they check any sort of "No longer Display this" type box?

Hello,

There are two primary reasons this popup could stop appearing.

The first is that the cPanel user chose to skip the popup in the future. To resolve this, at the bottom of the cPanel account page is a link "reset all interface settings" which should make this popup appear again. You may have to refresh cPanel in your browser before this option actually takes effect.

The second is that the server administrator has disabled this popup server wide. To resolve this, go to Feature Manager and ensure "Directory Selection Popup" is not disabled in the 'disabled' feature list or the 'default' feature list. Once again, you may need to refresh cPanel in your browser before this option actually takes effect.
