    Default disable of cgi-sys

Hello to all, I'm new here and this is my first post so be kind to me

I wanted to know if it's safe to disable
all access to the cgi-sys directory.
I want to do that by commenting out the ScriptAlias line in httpd.conf. Will that hurt any thing other then users who try to access a /cgi-sys/* file? Would the comment be removed the next time I'll run a cpanel update?

    Thanks

    G.

It is safe though obviously users will not be able to use any scripts located in cgi-sys anymore.

If you comment it out using the pound symbol (#) you can always re-add it if you should need it again.

Today's CPanel upgrade also caused Apache to go down for me, though manually starting it again fixed the problem.
