    Thumbs up Disable System Information

Should CPanel give us the options to disable features such as "System Information" which shows information that could be used against us in a hacking attempt? This would also include information found in some of the CPanel themes.

I feel it is nice to be able to show our users, especially resellers, information about the server they are being hosted on, but this information, such as Kernel version, etc. can be harmful these days. My honest outlook on this is all the client needs to know is their sites are working, and working fast. Details can only be used against us by hackers.

I think nobody at Cpanel Support cares about what the customers of the Cpanel think...

Thanks for your input. See that security might not be at the top of your list, but I respect that.

The option is there, I think there is just a bug in the WHM themes. Look at the previous thread regarding this for my comment.

As for Cpanel themes, that stuff should be part of the Feature Manager which is currently in beta.

The quick way to get around that is to edit the themes directly, if I recall correctly, there is a call to kernelver() and servicestatus() for these bits of information.

Simply remove the <TR>.....</TR> for those two bits of information and your clients won't see it.
