    Default Disc space reading

WHM gives me this data about my disc:
    /dev/sda3 74G 68G 1.8G 98% /

Can anyone please tell me why there is a discrepancy? 68/74 is not 98% but 92% (!). I wonder if I have 6GB left to use or only 2% (1.5GB)? The disc is 2 IDE discs using RAID.

Which may well give you the same readings.

98% is correct, because that is the %age of 74 that 1.8 is. The reason for the descepancy between the used and the max is most likely down to locked files that have been moved or deleted which would be returned after they're closed. Typically this happens if, for example, log files are incorrectly deleted without the owning daemon being restarted.
