Disk Space Usage incorrect in cpanel/whm

I have an account for which the disk space usage is shown incorrectly by the amount of a large backup file that has been deleted.

I ran /scripts/fixquotas and this did *not* resolve the issue.

If I look at Disk Space Viewer, it shows the correct amounts. The space is off by about 1 gig.

How can I correct this or force cpanel to correct the value?

I have seen this in the past as well.
Normally it goes away in a day or so...

Few quick questions / suggestions :

1. is this an account that just transferred in ?
2. is this a VPS ?
3. what version of cPanel ? edge / release / stable ? etc...
4. check ownership of logs in /var everyonce in a while you may find the user owns a few logs that are outstanding but not seen on first glance
5. run something like this from shell find / -user usernameoutofquotagoeshere
