Disk usage warning

2 problems I have and no idea why orhow to solve.


-) For some odd reason accounts are able to go over their disk space limit, why is this and what can I do to stop this?

-) When an account goes over the disk usages the warning emails stop to come in, why? it works fine till 100% but over allowance, no more emails.

Hope some one can help me with this...

It sounds like your quotas are broken or misconfigured. You can try running /scripts/mkquotas and /scripts/fixquotas

I would assume that when quotas are working and they aren't able to go over their limits by much they will probably notice once their email, FTP, and anything else that requires writing files fails. Maybe it would be good to add a daily warning saying the user was over 100% but I don't know, we use quotas and it's never really happened.

Just to be sure run this:
"/sbin/quotaon /"

And then run a "/scripts/fixquotas" again just to make sure.

Once you've done this you *should* be all set. It won't fix users already over their limits but it should prevent new users from going over their limits. If this doesn't resolve it I suggest opening a ticket at http://tickets.cpanel.net/
