Hi all,
So i'm fairly new to DNS management and had a question. I'm currently running ns1.mydomain.com and ns2.mydomain.com off of the same server. I now have another server setup as a DNS only server, but was wondering what steps I may have missed in the process of setting this up. I set the IP of the new server at the registrar, and setup the hostname on the new box as ns3.mydomain.com, but it doesn't seem to resolve. Do I need to setup an A record on the machine with ns1 and ns2 to see this new machine? (or should A/CNAME be setup on the new box, ns3?) It can be contacted by IP obviously, but won't resolve. Any thoughts?
