    Default DNS Clustering

    Hello,

I had a question I currently run Cpanel on 1 server (DNS, Cpanel &WHM) then I have a second server (DNS) which I just received. I was curious I want to start doing DNS clustering where if anyone updates or creates a sub domain it will create the zone files on the 2nd server (DNS) and the cPanel server will just pull them from the DNS server.

The reason for this is in the future if I have my cPanel server to go down I want to be able to have www.domain to point to a temp URL down site so each client does not look as if it just dropped off the face of the earth.

My question is do I have to run cPanel on my DNS server to accommodate this feature I want?

If anyone can give me any insight on how to allow this to work it will be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks
    -jason

Both systems need to run WHM/Cpanel combo.
