Question DNS editor for clients within cpanel plugin...

    Hello,

I have got a DNS editor plugin, which i got from one of my webhosts, which basically seems to get the DNS zone editor from WHM and enables uses to directly edit the DNS zones for their domain(s)...

However its ionencoded, they wont give me the source and well it looks ugly and i want to get in and have a play with it and also try and make the form itself more userfriendly.

So how can i re-create this plugin?

Or does someone have the plugin or a similar one which i can get the source code of to work on?

    Many Thanks,
    Dan

I know this is a few months old. Is the plugin you got publicaly avaliable? I am very interested in this, some of our more advanced users require custom records and its a pain having to go down the whole make a support ticket route.

    Thanks.

    Exclamation

I'm not entirely certain of the point of a DNS editor since DNS management
is ridiculously simple from both the shell and WHM. If you feel you need
something more, good luck to you although I hope the plugin that your
host provides is trustworthy as you don't have the full code.

And yes of course DNS editing is easy from the whm and shell, this is to bring that functionality to the end user in the users cPanel...

Even thought DNS management is easy. Some of the end users require custom DNS records. It would be far easier to have a plugin to let the do it themselves rather than have a lot of support tickets.

@encikacop: Thats exactly what im looking for. Just cant find it anywhere =/ Id have a go at writing one if I was half decent in perl. Or if the cPanel support was remotly helpful....
