DNS Entries

I am somewhat new to all this so any help you guys could offer wouldbe greatly appreciated.

Box is running under the following:

WHM 8.5.4 cPanel 8.5.4-R72 RedHat 9

First thing I did after recieving this box was reset the host name. Default was "images"

Followed this guide in doing it - http://forum.ev1servers.net/showthre...st+name+change

Then went and added my nameservers @ my registar

ns1.domain.com
ns2.domain.com

Opened an Account for the domain under WHM and then restarted DNS Nameserver Bind.

Woke up this morning with an e/mail from my box reading the following:

IMPORTANT: Do not ignore this email.
The hostname (p4.domain.com) resolves to . It should resolve to 00.00.000.00. Please be sure to correct /etc/hosts as well as the 'A' entry in zone file for the domain.

Corrected the above and restarted DNS Bind again, then did the following:

http://www.dnsreport.com/tools/dnsre...tinextreme.com

I presume i did something wrong in my steps here and the domain isn't going to resolve correctly?

Could anyone offer some insight here in what I need to correct this.

dnsreport.com is overloaded right now.

But, if you've verified that /etc/hosts is correct, /etc/resolv.conf is correct AND that you have A records for each of your nameservers, you are probably just going to have to wait until the nameservers propogate.


BTW - You might want to upgrade to the latest STABLE version 8.8.0-S74
