The named process on my DNS-only server is periodically failing and it appears that unlike the main cPanel server there is no service monitor to make sure that the service is up all the time.

Currently i run

/scripts/fixndc
every time that the server stops responding to cluster updates. And that starts the named process for me again.

I was wondering - would there be any ill effect in running

/scripts/fixndc
as a cron say on a daily basis to make sure that the server is working correctly. Is there a more elegant solution to this?
