I just moved a bunch of accounts from one cpanel server to another. The old server was set up so that the user accounts were all assigned the same IP address as the server's primary IP.
The new server is set up so that user accounts use an IP address that is different than the primary IP address used by the server.
I am getting a warning when I run dnsreports.com, saying "One or more of your mailservers is claiming to be a host other than what it really is... Note that the hostname given in the SMTP greeting should have an A record pointing back to the same server. Note that this one test may use a cached DNS record. domain.com claims to be host servername.server.com [but that host is at 75.126.160.xxx (may be cached), not 75.126.161.yyy].
I did a successful test with one zone so that the MX record is set to servername.server.com.
Should I change the zone template so that new accounts do the same?
Any way to make the same change across 100+ zones?
Thanks -- Bill
