DNS Zone Edit error, ndc connect failed?

Hi everyone,

Everytime I make changes to a DNS Zone I always get this error:

"...ndc: connect failed: connection refused
Zone Modified!..."

What does this mean? Any body has experienced this before.? Is this something I should worry about.? I use WHM/CPanel 8.6/8.7

If you restart Bind do you get the same message? If so you can run /scripts/fixndc and then restart bind again and that usually fixes it.

I'm still getting the error.
I had MySQL problem earlier, and I corrected that. Now my DNS is messing up. Anytime I do an edit, I get the same error as well.

/etc/named.conf also has all rndc-key with the dash.

I tried the /scripts/fixndc
restarted bind, mysql

that didn't work either.

any ideas?

You need to remove that dash between rndc-key..should just rndckey Thats a bug in RH9
