Question DNS Zones - Seperate Web and Email

I have a client that has requires their website be hosted on a different server to that of their email.

Although when i have set this up i think i may have missed something or just got it totally wrong as the client can no longer receive any email, in fact any email sent to the client is returned to the sender as undeliverable. Although their website can be reached on the other server.

here are the dns zone details on WHM

    phones2view.com. IN NS ns1.ournameservers.com.
    phones2view.com. IN NS ns2.ournameservers.com.
    phones2view.com. IN A 85.91.xxx.xxx
    localhost IN A 127.0.0.1
    mail IN CNAME domainname.com.
    www IN CNAME domainname.com.
    ftp IN A 85.91.xxx.xxx

    any help is greatly appreciated

    cheers,

    barry.

    Hi,

    And your MX records?
Make sure that the lowest mx record point to the mailserver of your client.
