I echo as well. Why does this need updating?

Is it completely stable? With so many changes coming with cpanel 11, does dnsonly not need to be updated? I am not saying it does, I am asking if it does

There is very little to this package when compared to the entire cPanel package. I don't have any issues with it. As long as it still operates with cPanel 11 when it is released, there is little to update...

there are some problems with it....

Just think about the compress::zlib issue...

I am now running a dnsonly-BETA to fix it :s

    So a update isn't a luxury thing

EDIT: Not any more.... the dnsonly-BETA is causing problems with cpanel11...

So back to the perl problems...

no works cpanel11 not anymore with the dnsonly...

It says it syncs en reload on the other server, but the records aren't parsed to the other server....

PLEASE people check if you have the same problem. We just noticed it was on all our dnsonly machines...

You obviously aren't using it much if you posted that. cPanel techs have a few bugzilla reports that I have put in myself. The biggest being that if you run your own RDNS and do an update it will NOT sync across the other DNS servers. That is a pretty useless setup if you intend to do anything more than host some domains.

the dnsonly is driving me nuts ->

perl 5.8.7 with dnsonly and dnsonly beta -> doesn't work with cpanel11 (even not syncing)
perl 5.8.8 with dnsonly and dnsonly beta -> also not working, but cpanel11 says it is syncing, but it is not.

    UPDATE:
I upgraded "perl 5.8.7 with dnsonly" to dnsonly-beta and than upgraded perl to 5.8.8.
Then I down graded dnsonly-beta tot dnsonly, and now one of our nameservers syncs, when it hangs on perlmods in the upcp.

I have made a BUG in the bugzilla, because I was unable to find the problem there.

Please vote and add comments, so they will see it is a big problem.

According to Layer1 a new version was uploaded on May the 20th. Have just tried this and after many many failures with previous versions of the file it worked straight away and has worked perfectly!

Seems they've changed the version numbers of a lot of software, eg perl from 5.8.5 to 5.8.8.

    I'm using a CentOS 4 standard install on a 128meg VPS.
