Default dnsreport - ip's not public?

I did a DNS report for a domain and it showed Failed for "ip's public"

Error: At least one of your NS records points to an IP address that is not a public IP. The problem IP(s) are:

"IP Address" is not a public IP
"IP Address" is not a public IP

These IPs are not reachable on the Internet, causing DNS delays, extra resource usage, and possibly no DNS response.

    Why is that?

    How do I fix this?

Also, for MX entry it showed Failed because the IP's ARE public.

Check your IP addresses in ARIN, RIPE or APNIC (depending on where the server is located) and make sure that the IP address that is being reported isn't considered a private IP address.

    Incidentally,

I just remembered that I've seen this before with someone at ServerMatrix (not you was it?) who had the same problem - it was a bug in the dnsreport.com scripts - could well be the exact same problem.

Never experienced any problems with non-public IPs presuming they were issued thru a
data center and were not simply on a private network.

Maybe that was me? I know the ip's on my new servermatrix server are reporting as private ip's through dnsreports.
