Do I really need both Zend optimizer and MMCache installed together?

Hi, I've just installed Zend optimizer, but I've searched around, and see many people recommend MMCache, however should I have both installed? Do really need to do that?

You don't NEED both, though some do like to install both, so it's up to you. They do work together fine.

i recomand haveing both because many times you will face a php script which is encoded and will need zend to allow it to run
also mmcache is good for lowering your server load if you have lots of php scripts running

if a server has zend optimizer, and what causes some skyrocket loads is a phpBB forum, would mmcache help to lower those loads?
