Default Does pure-ftp support MDTM (preserving file time on ftp)?

I have a customer who has been using wsftp-pro for some time now. And he has the option to preserve file time on the files set, but it is not working all of a sudden. It was working fine for about 6 months, then just stopped working?

Is this a pure-ftpd issue, or something else?

That is also a ftp client setting. Has he/she checked their client? It is usually called "Preserve Times" or something like that.

Yes, we did double check that several times. I've even tried it from my version of wsftp pro with no luck...

When you FTP into the server the client session shows you which extensions are supported. Just checked and MDTM is listed, check that it is on yours. If it still doesn't work, have them try a different FTP client.

Ok, I looked and it says MDTM is installed. I've tried both wsftp-pro and cute-ftp and both overwrite the file times? Any idea where I can check next?

    Ok,

According to the cpanel techs both pureftp and proftp only support retreiving the files times via MDTM, and not preserving them. That really doesn't make sense to me, but that's what they said.

This user is insistant that this feature work. I have him on his own dedicated box, so at this point I'm wondering if i can maybe install another ftp daemon. Does anyone know if there are any other ftp daemons I can install, maybe on another port that might support preserving file times during upload/download?

    Thanks,

I am also very interested in this. Does anyone know how to upload files to the ftp server and preserve their time and date instead of changing them to the time and date that they are uploaded?
