Default A domain is being pointed to one of your IPs without my permission

    Hi all

A domain is being pointed to one of my IPs without my permission!

I contacted my host and I was told it is not a security breach at all. I could either try to contact the domain owner/administrative contact or configure my server to not resolve that domain name.

How do I configure my server to not resolve a domain name using your cpanel ?

Thank you very much in advance

As far as I know, if you have not created an account or dns zone for that domain, they can point it to your IP all they want, and it's not going to do anything. I'd still contact the domain owner and let them know. They may not be aware.

I gues syou mean they are using your nameservers, we have had this happen before also, just ignored it because it did not cause us any problems. Is this causing problems because so many people are looking for the site and it is erroring on your domain? If that is the case there are something you could do.
