    Default E-mail problems...

We have a few clients that say they get errors when they send e-mails but when they try sending the EXACT SAME e-mail 10 minutes later it goes through with no problem. This only happens occasionally & on different e-mail accounts, different computers & even different ISPs! Most of the time all e-mail works fine. Any thoughts?

Our mail que has no more than 20 e-mails in it. The error they get is "550 SMTP authentication turned on in your email client".

Have you asked your client(s) to disable the SMTP authentication option in their email client(s)?

Possibly. Just make a copy of the antivirus file before you execute /scripts/exim4. Once that's complete, replace the antivirus file.

    /scripts/exim4
    cp -f /etc/antivirus.exim-backup /etc/antivirus.exim

I have found only problems when using that setting. I advise all Clients they do not need to use it and should have it un-checked in their eMail program.
