e-mail retrieval problem (reverse dns?)

i just set up WHM 9.2.0 cPanel 9.2.0-R24

i am having a weird issue with my e-mail. the e-mail i've been playing with is cary@truecupid.com.

i can send e-mail to this address, and the owners of the isp have told me the mail is in the inbox, although i am unable to retrieve it.

i also have many php scripts which send out mail but none of them are working.

my /etc/resolv.conf looks like this...

domain truecupid.com
search truecupid.com
nameserver 127.0.0.1
nameserver 207.218.247.135
nameserver 207.218.245.135

i ran a dnsreport at http://dnsreport.com/tools/dnsreport...=truecupid.com and it said reverse DNS failed.

i can however send mail from my local e-mail client using cary@truecupid.com without a problem to other addresses.

Nothing weird about it. You need to fix your reverse DNS.

can i do that? (if so... where/how?, i've only had 1 day of experience with cpanel so far) or do i have to ask the isp?
