email account delete problems

I have some email accounts on my cpanel that i want to delete as i no longer have the domains but am getting error.

"Account does not exist"

Is there any way to clear these.

Hello,

As you said that the domain is deleted. SO if the domain is deleted you will not able to access the email account under that domain. So indirectly the email address will also be deleted.

Though the domains are removed from the cPanel but you still see the E mail address of those domains under cPanel
E Mail Accounts. Because of the cPanel cache.

The entry for those E mail address still exists in cache of the cPanel. That is the reason, why you are still getting the
E mail address under cPanel E Mail Accounts section but can't delete them as error "Account does not exist" pops up.

A simple solution is login to server as root through SSH ( shell ) go to your to your account under /home

For example if your cPanel user is XYZ you need to go to following path :

# /home/XYZ/.cpanel/caches

Now here you'll need to delete following files.

" email_accounts.cache "

" email_accounts.yaml "

Restart cPanel service.. N you wont see the entries for the E mail address under cPanel E Mail Account.
