eMail aging?

Hello,

I'll go straight ahead with the problem description:

My partner and I are using one eMail-Account via Outlook (together).

I.e.:

Each of us gets mail from this eMail-Account from time to time. Until some days ago, there were eMails which we missed because the other one already had grabbed it from the server.

Now, however, we both receive any eMail sent to the mentioned address. This is not wanted, however, because it only causes confusion :-). How can I switch back to the old way? I wonder whether there has been an automatic cpanel-update, since we did not change anything...

Did you experience anything similar lately? Do you know how to switch back?

Any help is appreciated very much.
