Default Email Domain Forwarding to Remote Domain - Possible?

Is it possible to use Email Domain Forwarding to deliver mail to a remote domain not parked on the same server?

I've run some tests and it doesn't seem to work.

Are there any tricks that could get this to work?

Yes - set up the forwarder in /etc/vdomainaliases/$domain - the domain you're forwarding FROM has to have its mail pointed to the server, but the domain you're forwarding to doesn't. But, it does need to be configured to accept the email.

cPanel already adds the domains to /etc/vdomainaliases/domainname when the domain forwarder is created.

The text it adds is <fromdomain>:<todomain>
