About LinkBacksIf I give an account its own ip, does the email come from that ip or the main server ip?

If I give an account its own ip, does the email come from that ip or the main server ip?
On my installation it comes from the serverIP and from the hostname of the server.
I have looked into how to send from the accountIP, but Exim is too difficult for me to setup, but if there is an easy solution, I would like to know.
