Question Email no longer functioning (beware newbie)

    Hi,

I no longer have email - I am not sure if it is because I tweaked some stuff or if it is because I installed cpanelproxy.net... But none of my accounts have email and I can't access them through cPanel either. In the WHM they show up in the queue briefly and then they disappear ... but are never delivered (or if they are delivered I can't get to them because I can't open my webmail for any account).

I use my VPS just for myself and have different websites under different cPanels. So nobody is suffering except for me ...but I do provide email to friends and family and now no one is getting their email.

    My questions are:
    1. Is there a way of reverting to all the default email settings without messing everything else up? Is there a document somewhere that I can look at those settings and just copy them...?
    2. Or is there a way of re-setting all of WHM without losing any of my cPanel accounts already set up.

Thanks in advance for all your help.

Did you try a cPanel update? This would most likely adjust something that is "not quite right" for something like this.

Could you give more info as to what you have tried?

    Thanks for your reply.
    1. Sorry for this basic question: but how do I do a cPanel update?

    2. I might have narrowed some of my problems to the fact that when I transferred an old account to this new server I deleted a bunch of old domains and subdomains... I get this error after I ran scripts/updateuserdomains:

[userdomains] domain conflict: /var/cpanel/users/domain2l contains a MAIN domain
    already owned by user1 at /scripts/updateuserdomains line 191, <F> line 3.

Is there a way of deleting old domains from the root?

    Thanks...

    I'm having a similar problem.

I added a parked domain yesterday.

After that. one of my accounts disappeared from the "list accounts" list in WHM, and I'm no longer able to get to the mailboxes on that account.

The account is still there, and a PHP/MySQL application on the account is still functioning fine.

Everything else is fine on the server, except that when UPCP ran, I got the same error as the person in the above post.

    how to fix?

Please see this link for the fix.

it fixed my issue, which I suspect is the same problem you guys are having.
