Email suddenly quit working

Why would my email account suddenly quit working (no changes to my system)? I've had the account for 3 years, it just recently renewed. Today, without any changes, I was unable to retrieve my email, keeps asking for username and password (again, no changes), and the error returned was Task 'mail.never3putt.com - Receiving' reported error (0x800CCC92) : 'Your e-mail server rejected your login. Verify your user name and password in your account properties. Under Tools, click E-mail accounts. The server responded: -ERR Sorry cannot find an owner for that domain (never3putt.com)'

i guess there is something wrong with the alias-file (/etc/valiases/never3putt.com)
