    Default .eml attachments rejected

Clam + exiscan does a great job of blocking virus attachments, however many of my end users make a regular practice of forwarding .eml files as attachments, and the server is blocking those too.

Is there a way to change the settings to allow .eml attachments?

    Thanks!

edit /etc/antivirus.exim, search for eml (control W) and remove them. (take out one of the pipes too, so that the regular expression doesn't match every attachment).

How would one go about making the changes they make permanent. I have modified the antivirus.exim file twice now and it keeps getting overwritten with updates? I want to be able to allow .eml attachments and not have to do this over and over again.

You could try making your own copy of antivirus.exim and make your own changes in the copy and then point the system_filter to use that instead of the default in WHM > Exim Configuration Editor > System filter file
