Enabling cpanel login from client domains

For some reason I seem to have problems accessing cpanel from anywhere but my primary server ip using the ports :2083 and :2087. How can I set things up so my clients can directly access cpanel/whm without having to type in the ports (i.e. www.clientname.com/cpanel). Thank you.

Do you have root access to WHM? If so under Tweak Settings at the bottom of the page is an option to force users to https port. if no root then your host has probably enabled that option for increased security.

This is a dedicated server that I own so there are no permissions issues to worry about. My server provider was able to fix cpanel aliases to work on clients via www.clientname.com/cpane but I still can not use the www.resellername.com/whm alias and thus must login https://123.456.789.012:2087 to access whm. What do I need to change to make this alias active?

And to respond to your question, that feature is currently unchecked.
