Error creating Zip Archives in FileManager

Hello,

I'm having strange problems with creating zip archives from within FileManager.

Seems small 100-500mb archives are created successfully , but if I try to create a 2gb+ archive, it just dies on me ... no errors no nothing ...

inspecting over SSH I see random file sizes for the temp file created while archiving .. sometimes it's 2gb .. sometimes 3gb and everywhere in between ..

running the same command in SSH creates the archive successfully which is 4.2GB in size.

Any help is really appriciated.

The File Manager may be hitting a memory limit. Try increasing the maximum memory a cPanel process can use. The default is usually 256 MB or 512 MB. This setting is in WHM >> Tweak Settings and is labeled "The maximum memory a cPanel process can use before it is killed off (in megabytes). Values less than 128 megabytes can not be specified. A value of "0" will disable the memory limits."
