    Default error in httpd.conf

I have a supposed error in httpd.conf but when I check it out, everything appears fine. I can't see the error.

    Here it is

Syntax error on line 1197 of /usr/local/apache/conf/httpd.conf:
Invalid command 'BytesLog', perhaps mis-spelled or defined by a module not included in the server configuration

    So I type in:
    pico +1197 httpd.conf

    Here's the line:

    BytesLog domlog/clientdomain.com-bytes_log

Does anybody have any idea how to resolve this?

    Thanks!

You shouldn't have a BytesLog variable in your virt host entry.

The rest of those who have gone before us cannot steady the unrest of those to follow.

That's odd, every single virtual host entry had a bytes log entry on all of my servers. Are you sure we are referring to the same thing?

    Thank you!

Virtual hosts entries may contain a byteslog entry as long as the module is installed and defined.

Make sure the following are within your httpd.conf file. (use '/' within vi to search)

    LoadModule bytes_log_module libexec/mod_log_bytes.so

    and

    AddModule mod_log_bytes.c

If they are not within your config file, try recompiling apache (/scripts/easyapache).
