Error reloading bind on server: rndc: recv failed: connection reset

Hi,

Yesterday afternoon a domain that has been sitting on the DNS for over a month just stopped working. (although cPanel updates at 2am - so shouldn;t have been that).

However now if I do anything in DNS and restart it I get:
Error reloading bind on server: rndc: recv failed: connection reset

I've tried the /scripts/fixndc, fixnamed, fixeverything

Also upgraded to the Release version:
WHM 9.1.0 cPanel 9.1.0-R85

And it still says this.

The info in rndc.conf and named.conf are the same and there is no rndc-key, just rndckey.

Any Ideas ?

did you try to change rndckey to rndc-key ?

Hi,

Please try to match the rndc key name in /etc/rndc.key.
Properly edit both named.conf and rndc.cong with the same rndc key name.

Try to execute the above mentioned scripts twice that might work.

Othewise generate a rndc key and substitute for the old one.

Restart the service.
