error uploading using file manager

Hi guys,

1 of my client can't upload using file manager, he still got 1.4 mb space left. The things is I can upload a file using ftp but not using file manager .. I believe this must be something wrong with permission.. any ideas? Thanks for your kind help.

We have found that cPanel decided do the following:
"File uploads are restricted to prevent account issues caused by exceeding your file system quota". E.g. you need to have at least 5 free Mb to upload files via File Manager.

The solution is to upgrade account to higher one.

Can't this limit be set somewhere? To force a user to upgrade simply cause he has less than 5MB space on his account isn't always viable

Having only 5MB of space left is too close to the limit. Between emails and log and stat files, that can disappear quickly. If someone is that close to their limit, they should definitely upgrade or clean up. Sometimes they don't use the default email but mail gets piled up there, or the stat files build up.

No account should get to less than 5MB free. Too risky.

All the servers where we have done a upcp recently is failing.

Sorry, i find out the solution for my servers, in Tweak Settings, you have to set the next options:

The maximum file size in MB allowed for upload through cPanel File manager. Use "unlimited" for unlimited: (specify something)

The minimum filesystem quota space in MB required after file upload through cPanel File manager (Default 5MB). This will prevent users from hitting their quota limit through File Manager file uploads: (specify something)

When you type these two values the Cpanel´s Upload system works fine.
