Error while processing a file of BSMTP input?

We are currently having severe email problems for all customers on one of our servers.

The following can be seen in the mail logs and in their delivery failure reports:

An error was detected while processing a file of BSMTP input.
The error message was:

421 SMTP incoming data timeout - message abandoned

The SMTP transaction started in line 0.
The error was detected in line 3.
0 previous messages were successfully processed.
The rest of the batch was abandoned.

Please can someone advise what is causing this and assist us with a resolution. We have disabled SPAMassassin server wide and this hasnt fixed anything.

grep your exim_mainlog for the email in question an see what the error is

I have already provided the error message.

The problem is due to a Spam Assassin bug. We have now fixed this following another thread on these forums and modifying spamd with additional timeout variables and other modifications.
