/etc/resolv.conf what should be there

I am having lots of problems with my DNS settings. All my email is unrouteable.

I have the following in my file:

domain darkorb.net
search darkorb.net
nameserver 66.197.217.11
nameserver 66.197.217.12


The nameservers are cpanel's. If I use the ones from my NIC I can't upgrade my box or send email.

I'd like to know if the domain and search info is correct. Should it really be pointing at darkorb?

domain yourdomain.com
search yourdomain.com
nameserver 127.0.0.1
nameserver xx.xx.xx.xx (base IP address for the Server)

Thanks for the heads up. Any idea what putting my domain in there does?

And if I place the IP for local host in there don't I need to run my own nameserver?

Can you brief me on what that involves?
