I have a client who claims they have sent no where near the 250 e-mails per hour I allow on the server his account is on. Other than the exim logs which states the error is there a section on the server that counts the e-mails per hour?

other than greping the exim logs & mail logs no other logs taht I know of
Actually, there is. The raw data files for each account are stored in /usr/local/cpanel/etc/cppop/auth/* - if you look in the files you'll see a serious of unix timestamps (seconds since epoch) which equate to when an email was sent out within the last hour. If you could the number of timestampts you will have the current number of emails sent within the last hour (not clock hour, but an hour relative to the last email sent).
For historical data, you are indeed either going to have to search the exim_mainlog or you could empty out the eximstats MySQL database to clean it up and then use that henceforth.

In the mail section of WHM there is a tool to get mail statistics for a 24 hour period also. You can see both in and outbound mails for accounts.
Anyone know if a domain exceeds the max per hour, say 50 - do the extras their mailing list tries to send get discarded or put into queue?
They are deleted, not queued.
