Default EXIM compiled with mysql support

I need to recompile exim with mysql support to utilize my implementation of greylisting. My concern is cpanel "upgrading" exim and messing up my whole config.

    So ...

optimally, can we get mysql support compiled into the cpanel version of exim?

    or ...

how can I prevent cpanel from upgrading exim?

Is this what you are looking for?

If "Yes" for formality sake, Vote for this (though really unsure if Votes do make a difference)

That is exactly what I need and I have voted for it.

Thanks for voting. I gues votes do not make a difference at all. Perhaps an exact "how to" along with the bugs/enhancement requests is a sure shot wy of getting quicker response than votes.

You can prevent exim from being updated by cPanel with the following:

    touch /etc/eximupdisable

Do be very careful with greylisting, it's a very controversial method of stopping spammers and will almost definitely result in the loss of legitimate email.

I understand the controversy and the loss of legit mail is mostly due to inadequate whitelisting...

It's not the whitelisting, it's the fact that your SMTP server is telling the sender that it cannot handle that email at the current time and rejecting the email for the sender to try again later. If the sending server doesn't queue the email the email will be lost for good. It also increases the load on the sending server and wastes its resources. To me it's almost as bad as challenge/response systems.
