exim giving error

I am trying to config of Exim using the Exim configuration in WHM, but when I save it says:

Failed to save new settings.

Restoring previous configuration.
---

How to fix this ?

Hello,

Check the error message in /usr/local/cpanel/logs/error_log while saving the configuration. See if you can find something there!

Additionally check the exim.conf permission / attributes as well.

ls -l /etc/exim.conf

lsattr /etc/exim.conf
