exim problems

I am having problems with exim. None of the default addresses work on any sites, i checked out the exim log and I'm getting this..

2004-11-22 09:28:00 H=(mx1.mailserver.com) [ip] F=<user@domain.com> temporarily rejected RCPT <user2@domain2.com>: require_files: error for /etc/vdomainaliases/domain2.com: Permission denied

and some of these

2004-11-16 21:43:07 failed to open /etc/localdomains for linear search: Permission denied (euid=47 egid=12)

Remote host said: 451 Temporary local problem - please try later Giving up on ip.
I'm not going to try again; this message has been in the queue too long.

I changed the permissions on vdomainaliases to 755
