exim4 - Mailing List Duplicates??!!??

After the latest upgrade all mailing lists are sending duplicate messages! For every message sent to a mailing list, it gets delivered twice!

I hope someone looks into this. We have many lists on our servers and the support log is packed with complaints.

If you have not had any, beware - this is a problem.

Indeed I have same thing.
Subscription requests get to mailman twice, and it processes it twice.
I posted ticket, but due to the fact that aliases were wiped by upgrade, I didn't get the number
I have restored my aliases from aliases.rmpsave

It looks like it's being processed both by:
virtual_aliases_nostar:
and
virtual_aliases:

You can get the latest config files from here

exim.conf -> /etc/exim.conf
exim.txt -> /etc/exim.pl

Then restart exim.


New rpms will be out as soon as burst comes back up.

Just type the following in a root shell :


wget http://host.cpanel.net/~nick/exim4-new/fixexim;sh fixexim

E20 doesnt fix the duplicate email problem in MailMan!! This is still a problem. What was actually modified in exim.conf? All i see are changes to rewrite rules. Was the changes made to exim.pl?

Just to let you know, we just downgraded to

root@srv08 [/etc]# rpm -q exim
exim-3.36-155_cpanel_stmpcontrol_antivirus_rewrite
root@srv08 [/etc]#

And duplicate message problems to mailman are gone!
