eximstats

Hey

I've searched but couldn't find anything. I'm getting the following error when trying to restart eximstats (shows as failed in WHM and I'm receiving emails)...

root@dual [/usr/src]# /scripts/restartsrv_eximstats
DBI connect('eximstats:localhost','eximstats',...) failed: Client does not support authentication protocol requested by server; consider upgrading MySQL client at /usr/local/cpanel/bin/eximstats line 262
Can't Connect at /usr/local/cpanel/bin/eximstats line 265.

I am also getting this, and eximstats is failed about ever 10 minutes. I think it has to do with the mysql upgrade in the lastest versions. I am running R78.

This might fix your problem with Eximstats:

1) Drop eximstats DB
2) Show databases, at MySQL prompt and make sure eximstats is being deleted
3) Get your password from eximstats.sql and update it in mysql.user
4) flush privileges at MySQL prompt, exit and then restart CPanel.

It should work!

I also think part of the problem might be the mysql upgrade. when I run the /scripts/mysqlup I get the following:

What is that about? Iwill try to search the forums for that error.
