External hosted mail routing issue

Scenario:

An account in the server is hosting his email outside, so we apply the MX records and A records for pop and SMTP provided by the external email provider into his zone records. It work ok except for one thing, when another account on the same server send an email to this mailhostedoutside.com account, it gives a "No Such User" error. Emails from other accounts outside the server are sent and received fine.

Now I noticed that when creating the email account in the cPanel of mailhostedoutside.com, the mail from the account on the same server are delivered there, instead of going to the inbox of the account of the external email host (where it should supposed to be delivered).


Any idea?

Remove the domain from /etc/localdomains and add it to /etc/remotedomains. Create the remotedomains file if it doesn't already exist.

Thanks Messiah, i will try this. By the way the domain's files (web) is hosted in the server. I presumed this changes will not affect the hosting side of it?

Correct. The localdomains and remotedomains files are only used in mail functionality.
