Failed E-mail Login

Hello, i´m having a problem with my cpanel webmail, on webmail.mydomain.com I can login, but when i choose any of the email clients it gives me a failed login when it forwards to the clients, what could this be?

Hello Will,

Try running mailperm to check that the permissions on /home/username/etc and /home/username/mail are correct:

/scripts/mailperm

After that, if you still cannot login, check that /home/username/etc/domain.com/passwd file has the email account user listed. If it does, then try changing the email account password in cPanel > Email Accounts area.

If all of the above doesn't work, please create a ticket to us for us to check over the machine using WHM > Support Center > Contact cPanel or using the link in my signature. You'll need to provide the email account name and password.
